Step-by-Step Guide: Turning Shapes into Image Placeholders
01. Open the Slide Master
- Navigate to View > Slide Master.
- The Slide Master controls the overall design of your presentation, making it the perfect place to set up reusable placeholders.
02. Insert a Picture Placeholder
- In the Slide Master tab, select Insert Placeholder > Picture.
- This creates a designated area where images can be dropped in seamlessly.
03. Align the Placeholder with Your Shape
- From Insert, Shpes, Draw a large rectangle that covers the size of your chosen shape (for example, your logo or a custom graphic).
- Carefully align the rectangle with the shape to ensure precision.
04. Merge Shapes to Create the Custom Placeholder
- Go to Shape Format > Merge Shapes > Intersect.
- This action combines the placeholder with your shape, transforming it into a custom image container.
Now, whenever you insert an image, it will automatically fit inside your logo or shape, maintaining the design integrity.
